The Role - Field Service Engineer (Molecular Diagnostics Systems)
Following expansion, they seek to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Field Service Engineer, responsible for the service and breakdown repair on a wide range of sophisticated medical and laboratory diagnostics systems, utilised within pathology departments, NHS laboratories and clinical chemistry environments.
In this challenging and highly rewarding roles you will visit customer sites and provide customers with valuable solutions for troubleshooting. You will liaise with a whole host of external customer contacts, including Laboratory Managers and Laboratory Technicians from within the NHS and a range of private independent scientific organisations and laboratories.
Your Background - Field Service Engineer (Molecular Diagnostics Systems)
To succeed in this exciting position, you must be able to demonstrate experience in one of the following roles:
- Applications specialist providing customer training and technical support on laboratory diagnostics equipment.
- Biomedical scientist using immunoassay, clinical chemistry or haematology analysers within a pathology laboratory.
- Field service engineer repairing medical diagnostic systems, with a strong knowledge of chemistry.
- Field service engineers from a wide range of electronic sectors, including medical device, biomedical engineering, laboratory device, print press, semi-conductor, ex Forces (Radar / Avionics / Weapons Systems, RAF, Royal Navy and REME and Biomedical Engineers), industrial / commercial imaging or other areas of electronic manufacturing.
