The Role - Electronics Field Service Engineer (Life Sciences Instrumentation)
This market leading optical group now seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Field Engineer, responsible for customer training, installation and technical support of leading edge fully networked scanning electron microscopes, used in a wide range of sectors such as nanotechnology, materials analysis, semiconductor failure analysis, life sciences and quality assurance. You will work to cultivate positive working relationships with both internal and external customers, demonstrating the innovation and leadership for which the organisation is recognised.
Your Background – Electronics Field Service Engineer (Life Sciences Instrumentation)
To apply for this exciting role, you should be able to demonstrate one of the following backgrounds:
1. Experience working as a field service engineer on scientific / laboratory microscopes (SEM, TEM or similar).
2. Hold a qualification in a science, chemistry or physics related discipline and have experience working as a scientist or technical officer in a research, laboratory or university environment with extensive experience working with and using transmission electron microscopes.
3. Have background in a customer facing field service engineering capacity gained within any high value capital equipment environment. Applications are encouraged from engineers with a broad range of backgrounds, including laboratory device, medical device, pharmaceutical device, ex forces engineers (medical & dental, weapons systems, radar, etc.) and a wide range of other electronic or electro-mechanical from other sectors.
